Dr. Rigas joined Geisinger Health System as its Associate Chief Innovation Officer for Pharmaceutical Care. He recently also assumed the duties of Chief Clinical Officer for CareSite Pharmacy Services. Before moving to Geisinger, Dr Rigas served as the Senior Vice President of Clinical Affairs at Crescent HealthCare in Anaheim, California, a large alternate site pharmacy company specializing in infusion and specialty pharmacy therapies.
He graduated from USC School of Pharmacy with his Pharm.D. degree and completed his residency at UC San Francisco Hospitals and Clinics in 1982. He spent the first 10 years of his career in the hospital arena serving as the Chief clinical pharmacist in 3 different 200+ bed community hospitals. Most recently Dr. Rigas has managed pharmacies and nursing operations for a nationwide infusion company with 32 pharmacies in 22 states at the Vice President level.
Dr. Rigas’ areas of expertise include Antimicrobial therapy, Immunoglobulin therapies, Nutritional support and Pain control, improving clinical and financial outcomes, and payer and contract relations. He is also active in the Specialty Pharmacy and infusion industries working on standardized coding for infusion billing, universal access and managing Medicare Part D issues in front of the California board of pharmacy and CMS regional managers. Dr Rigas, holds membership in the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists and the National Home Infusion Association.
Mr. Merchant is the Chief Financial Officer & Chief Development Officer of SureHealth. Mr. Merchant has more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry in both the provider and the payer environment. Prior to joining SureHealth, Mr. Merchant was the Vice President Managed Care at Crescent Healthcare and was responsible for managing all elements of the payer relationship including contract negotiations, contract compliance and business optimization. Prior to Crescent, Mr. Merchant held various positions at Health Net and was instrumental in the development of and then leader of the financial solvency department. Mr. Merchant was appointed to represent the California Association of Health Plans before the State Senate on Senate Bill 260. Mr. Merchant is a Certified Public Accountant and has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University Northridge.
Lori Zaleski is responsible for overseeing pharmacy operations for the CareSite Pharmacies. With several years of retail pharmacy experience and Long Term Care management, Mrs. Zaleski has been leading the Pennsylvania CareSite region over the past 4 years.
Prior to joining the CareSite team, Mrs. Zaleski worked as a pharmacy supervisor for CVS Pharmacy in the North and South Carolina areas and held other management positions in the pharmacy industry.
Lori Zaleski graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Temple University in 1995. She is a registered pharmacist and has completed the certification to provide immunizations. Mrs. Zaleski is a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Health-System Pharmacists and Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association.
Steven Tracy oversees all aspects of our specialty pharmacy division (CareSite Specialty Rx). Before Mr. Tracy took on his specialty pharmacy role, he was in charge of the corporate working capital. With 24 years of managerial pharmacy experience, Steven fully understands the industry.
Before joining CareSite in 2005, Steven managed retail pharmacies from small independents to the large big box operation. During this time, he honed his skills in customer service and inventory management which later became the building blocks for his current role.
Mr. Tracy graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy, Philadelphia, PA in 1985. He graduated with honors and was a member of the Rho Chi Honor Society. Steven serves as an advisory board member for Armada Healthcare and is a member of NACDS.
