Part D Evaluation in Pennsylvania

Danville, PA – Medicare eligible participants who are interested in evaluating their options for Medicare Part D providers have an open enrollment period from November 15th to December 31st to select their provider for 2007. After the completion of the first year of the program there are a number of changes being introduced by approved Part D plan providers and CareSite Pharmacists are available to the public to help navigate these options during the open enrollment period.

According to CMS the monthly premium Pennsylvania beneficiaries will pay will average $24 if people remain with their current plan. Some 2006 participants may however see significant increases in their premiums and plan changes from their Part D provider. The enrollment period offers beneficiaries an opportunity to evaluate their plans and change providers during this open enrollment period if desired.

Competition from providers has resulted in plans that provide more options to seniors. Plans are adding drugs to the plans and coverage in the gap with little or no deductibles. Seniors and those with disabilities who are satisfied with their drug coverage do not have to do anything during the open enrollment period, but those who feel like their may be a better option out there have more choices than ever to select a plan that fits their specific needs.

CareSite Pharmacists are providing unbiased consultation to help Pennsylvanian’s navigate through the Medicare Part D provider options to select a plan that best covers their needs.
